HOW TO BUY

We understand that our customers will have different preferences for shopping so we offer three methods of making a purchase.

BY PHONE:
If you are in a hurry or you would like some friendly and personal service simply pick up the phone and call us on +64 9 4027755 as our store in Paihia in the beautiful Bay of Islands, New Zealand is open seven days a week.  If you are an international customer don’t forget to check the time zone.  You will need to tell us the item description and designer or category so have that information at hand.   We will phone, fax or email you back with a shipping quote.  Upon confirmation that you are happy with your order, we will take your credit card information over the phone and charge the confirmed amount.  Alternatively for shoppers within New Zealand you can make an electronic payment into our account.  Goods will be dispatched once payment is received.

BY EMAIL:
Email us at info@flyingfishdesign.co.nz  In your email please include the item description and designer or category and details of any options available eg. colour or size.  Please also include your address and a contact telephone number.  We guarantee to get back to you within 24 hours with a shipping quote. Once you have confirmed you wish to proceed we will contact you for your credit card details or New Zealand customers may make an electronic payment into our account. 

ONLINE:
Use our online shopping cart.
You do not need to log in to browse our site, however if you are browsing our site from outside New Zealand, logging in will allow you to view the prices without New Zealand’s goods and services tax (GST)  You will be eligible for this exemption if items are being shipped out of New Zealand.
Simply make your selections and add them to your cart.  Some items have choices such as colour, size or style associated with them, so be sure to select the correct one.
On the shopping cart page, you can update quantities or remove items.  When you are happy with your order, select the “check out” option.  At this time you will be asked to log in if you haven’t already done so.  The next step is to confirm your shipping and billing address.  You may edit your address if it is different from one we currently have on file.

Shipping:

Shipping within New Zealand is free for jewellery orders and purchases valued $100 or more.  All other orders under $100 will incur a $5.00 shipping fee.

For international orders, choose a shipping method from the choices listed. Our website automatically generates a shipping quote based on the weight of the item in our database.  This is an estimate only and may vary depending on packaging required. Enter your credit card information and select “SUBMIT”.   We will email you within 24 hours if the actual shipping costs are going to be greater than what was quoted before charging your credit card.  Handling and packaging by our very experienced staff is a complimentary service – you will only pay the actual shipping cost.

If you are considering purchasing several items, keep in mind that the actual freight costs may be less than the quoted shipping price due to combined shipping.  Feel free to email us for an accurate postage quote before committing to your purchases.

Complimentary gift wrapping is our pleasure.  Just let us know if the gift is for a male, female, boy or girl and it will be beautifully wrapped with an appropriate paper and ribbon.
   
WOULD YOU LIKE A GIFT CARD TO BE INCLUDED WITH YOUR PURCHASE?

We have a range of excellent cards and with your guidance we will select a suitable card written with words of your choice.  Prices range from $2.50 to $9.00.

CUSTOMER LOYALTY PROGRAM
We have a customer loyalty program for those of you who are interested in enrolling.  We keep a record of your purchases and when you reach $500 you will receive a $50 credit towards your next purchase.  There is no expiry date on the credit and you may gift it to someone else if you choose.  You will be the only person able to contribute to your running total.  The only items excluded from the program are sale items and postage costs.  All you need to do is write a note in the comments section when you order to say that you wish to join and then with subsequent purchases write a note in the comments section to say that you are a member.
